Today I looked in my mailbox and found a package addresses to myself. It took my about a second to remember that I had a Moleskine on the way. It took me a while to open the package because the CBSA opened the outer and inner package. I guess when “Moleskine Books? put “Notebook? in the item description it got signaled a check. I guess you never know what good information can be in a notebook. At least they taped this package, I had a hockey stick, that was worth $300, opened at customs and they never taped the end. When the stick came to my house it way partially out the package. I am surprised it wasn’t stolen.

When I finally got the Moleskine package open I was presently surprised to see this amazing notebook. These Moleskine notebooks are excellent quality and are actually worth the $10 price tag, although I paid almost $20 CDN with shipping. I will be filling this one up fast and buying more and more and more. I wouldn’t mind one of the date books. I am contemplating whether or not I should get the 18 month one beginning in July 2006 or the yearly one that starts in 2007. Once I get the hang of this notebook I will post some “hacks?.

“Apparently, a company in Sweden is offering file-sharing insurance - they’ll pay your fines if you’re sued by the RIAA. The /. submitter translates the link as follows: ‘For a mere 140 SEK ($19 USD) per year, they will pay all your fines and give you a t-shirt if you get convicted for file sharing.’”

Digg v3 was just released today and it looks pretty good. One letdown is the fact that some of the features that they showed at Thursday’s party are not available for another 2 weeks to 1 month. It looks very slik.

What about diggnation now? Are we going to see Alex and Kevin informing us on the latest happenings in Hollywood? The latest gossip? Trends, etc? Probably not but it would be very funny to hear those two talking about celebrity gossip.

After leading the Edmonton Oilers to game seven of the Stanley Cup final, Chris Pronger and his wife want out of Edmonton. Not because of money. Not because of team performance (are you kidding, they got as far as possible without winning the cup), but because of the city. Pronger and his wife think Edmonton is “unlivable?. I will be the first to say that Alberta has a cold climate and that Edmonton is not the most beautiful city on Earth, but he is here for the hockey. Hopefully Chris can get traded to a city like LA, Tampa, or Pheonix where the climate is nice and then the Oilers can get a “better? player.Tags: , , , , ,

In the past there has been a lot of hype from Microsoft about WinFS, but we never really heard anything about it. WINFS is “Windows Future Storage? and was planned to be included in the next version of Microsoft Windows, Windows Vista.Shortly after that, despite all the hype, Microsoft announced that WinFS won’t make it into Windows Vista, but will be available as a separate product. Now, Microsoft make yet another move to by dissolving the WinFS project into their various other data access products (SQL Server and ADO.NET), degrading WinFS role considerably from its original intended role.Tags: , , , , ,

I really need a Moleskine notebook but nobody sells them at physical stores around me. I have looked online and would have to pay $10 just for shipping. I was just about to purchase 1 pocket sized notebook for $21 shipped, but just couldn’t. $21 for a notebook is just too much. I don’t mind spending $15 or lower so if anybody has access to a store that sells Moleskines and can get me a small pocket ruled notebook with a side spine I will pay you with Paypal. Leave a comment or email me at feedback@5tags.com. I also accept donations…Tags: , , , , ,
