Oilers Have A Long Road To Go

Tonight the Edmonton Oilers faced off for game two of the Stanley Cup Final. In game one Edmonton was up 3-0 but quickly lost the lead. Later in the game an Oiler defenseman raced down into his own end against a Carolina forward. The Hurricane forward was cutting to the net, with Dwayne Roloson in, As the Oiler defenseman hit the forward out of the play, he ended up hitting Roloson and injuring him. I was at Rexall Place along with 5000 other Oiler fans when this happened. When this occurred the building went silent. Not a word spoken. CBC went to commercial and all the fans were chanting “Rolli, Rolli?. As the commercials ended CBC cut to a shot of Roloson standing up, the crowd went wild. All of the sudden Dwayne skated off the ice and his replacement Ty Conklin went in. The Edmonton crowd again went silent. You could hear random people chanting “NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!?.Edmonton now had two inexperienced goaltenders to lead them to a Stanley Cup. After game two Edmonton is down 2 games to 0.
