Nintedo DS MP3 Player

Nintendo will be releasing a new DS attachment which will turn the Nintedo DS into an MP3 player. With the great success of the DS lite, Nintendo is hoping expand the success with new options.

The new product will allow the DS to store and play music files. It is unclear how a user will be able to transfer the files or if Nintedo will open or support a music store of their own. One of the coolest things is that this product allows players to play their games and listen to music at the same time. With this MP3 player, the Nintendo DS will remain one of the best consoles for under $150.

The MP3 player is going to fit into slot 2 of the DS. This slot is normally used for GBA games or memory expansion in the case of the web browser. It is also rumored that the DS will use SD cards to store the file, which means that you will be able to get 2GB for a reasonable price.

No pricing or availability information has been announced, but this release should take a reasonable chunk out of the iPod market.
