I just bought a Nintendo Wii today. I have already been developing for the “Internet Channel” and will be releasing all of my work right here. I will have a full review and tips and tricks very soon.
Wii Sports is so fun, and I am a tennis pro! If you want to send me a Wii message, email wii@5tags.com with your message. All mail to that address is forwarded to my actual @wii.com address, for spam purposes.
I recently came across an amazing night photograph of Tokyo, Japan taken by “Altus” on flickr.com. I don’t know Tokyo good enough to know exactly where it is but this photo bring back memories of my trip to Japan.
I finally signed up for Google Checkout and Google currently has a promotion where you can get $10 free from your first purchase. I was trying to decide what to get. The Game’s new CD “Doctor’s Advocate”? Nah, I could get it cheaper here. A DVD? Nah. How about I go to the Google Store and get a t-shirt? Yeah, sounds good.

I go to the Google Store, pick out a few items and go the the cart. Being in Canada I am forced to use the Google Canada Store, which is fine with me expect for one problem. After checking my order I searched around for the Google Checkout button. You would think Google would have huge advertisements for it, but nope. I noticed “/CA/” was added to the URL so I deleted that. I was directed to the US store and the first thing I was was checkout with Google Checkout. I clicked it and proceeded. Unfortunately Google uses a third party to ship merchandise and that company does not ship to Canada.
It seems as though the Google Canada store only accepts credit card and the Google USA store only accepts Google Checkout. Hmmm very strange.
After several months on the Media Temple network I have decided to return to Dreamhost. Although all of the data is transfered back, I still have a lot of billing issues with Media Temple. As soon as I am 100% out of (mt) I will post a review of not only the lousy grid server but also the service I got from Media Temple.
added January 16, 2007:
I was just looking on flickr at all of the schwag Media Temple was giving away. If only they could adjust their budget to use just some of that money toward getting decent uptime. I also saw one of the funniest comments. Somebody asked what (mt) stood for and “eric” replied:
(mt) = maybe tomorrow, like when the server hosting your site will be up….lol j/k….i think :/
