HD DVD Numbers And Digg

Wednesday was both the worth and best day for the social news website Digg.com. After a post containing the numbers to unlock the content protection system on HD DVD discs was posted to Digg.com, the staff at Digg found it in their best interest to delete the post in order to avoid being sued. As soon as the Digg community got wind that the staff was deleting these posts, the user began to create several hundred new posts containing the numbers. Normally these “useless” posts would be buried by the crowd, but due to the accumulated frustrations the user began to digg all of these stories, eventually making the entire front page of Digg have only stories about the numbers.480882947_51b1176964.jpg
